FORENSIC SERVICES
I specialize in concise, quick response, jargon-free assessments that clearly address relevant legal issues. I have provided reports and/or expert witness services in hundreds of civil and criminal cases in most area courts and before several Federal administrative bodies, in areas including:
I have provided forensic services under contract to several DC area government agencies, including the DC Department of Mental Health for Independent Assessments of committed persons at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital; Arlington County’s Substance Abuse services program for evaluations of dually-diagnosed clients, and to the Frederick County (MD) and Howard County (MD) Departments of Health for evaluations of hospitalized persons under PASARR I am committed to improving the working relationships between the mental health and legal professions and have provided training and workshops over the years to local bar associations and trial attorney groups on ways that attorneys can most effectively use mental health services, and to social service agencies and mental health conferences on how to work with lawyers and with court-related issues. Comments from attorneys with whom I have worked include: I have used Dr. Wynne as an expert witness in several trials dating back to the 1980’s. His style is excellent for a jury or bench trial.
Judges and jurors find him accessible and seem to trust him (as do I). He has the rare gift of simplifying complex terms and
ideas into analogies and "lay friendly" speech without being condescending.
I reserve Dr. Wynne for my serious immigration cases, ones where the testimony of an experienced, credible expert is the difference between
staying here or getting deported. I highly recommend him. Dr. Wynne’s expertise, compassion and dedication afforded me the opportunity to successfully obtain medical school testing accommodations
for my client. Dr. Wynne’s careful analysis helped tremendously in obtaining the result my client needed. I have known Ron Wynne for about 8 years in the course of my guardianship practice. Throughout this time, I have found that his
demeanor is always very professional, and he is sensitive to the needs and feelings of the elderly or disabled clients
whom he is assessing. Dr. Wynne's mental competency evaluations are thorough, fair, complete, on the mark, and timely.
In my opinion, he is one of the best psychologists in this region for competency/capacity examinations.
